I recently found out about Takko Lacquer from this same friend and was smitten just by the photos. If you go to their shop (link below), just look at the large size of the photos. There is some DETAIL in these lacquers. This truly is artisan.

The Electric Apple: NYC is a stone-gray crelly with a golden yellow shimmer. Between this and Lulu’s NYC Yellow, I am falling in love! 2 coats, great formula:
