China Glaze Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away Collection

Happy Monday! I hope you are enjoying your holiday! And if you have to work…well, sorry :(

Found on a misplaced memory card, this is better late than never! China Glaze came out with a collection that is based on the Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away movie. Here are some selections I tried!

First up, is It’s a Trap-eze! That sort of sounds like something another company would name a polish, haha. Chunky multi-color glitters in a white jelly base, once topcoat is applied it is smooth and glassy and oh so fun! 2 coats.

This next glitter, Water You Waiting For, I was so excited about, and was the most disappointed with :( It is gorgeous blue and green glitters in a deep jelly base…maybe I should have put a base on it, but then it would not have had that floating quality. Perhaps if it had been more evenly see-through that would have been ok too – but after 3 coats, it was still splotchy, and it was very thick.

Igniting Love is a bright red creme. It was BRIGHT. Not completely neon (can red be neon?) but as close as you can get, and make me smile and happy to wear it.

The one that surprised me the most – Hanging in the Balance. I like blues and all, but something about this just made me head over heels. As you have seen, me and blues are not friends as far as application, but the richness of this shade soon made up for the pooling and bleeding.

Escaping Reality is a bright, gorgeous, girly yet edgy pink. Do you need another pink creme? This (and the other two) are really more like crellys, and if you are a pink lover, you will DEFINITELY want this!

Aaaand OMFG where are my photos of Creative Fantasy! I cannot find them *cry* You can see it as a base here, but it was so vibrant and beautiful…ahhhhh the one that got away. I will tell you that application was tricky with that one, but the end result was a beauty!

All in all, I thought this was a very fun collection. The crellies were my fave of the bunch (I know right?!?!). I still see this collection online and at some Sally’s, so if you are thinking you want some, or just a Cirque fan, grab these up!

Do you have any yet? What are your faves?

Thanks for coming by, xotara

  1. Out of all the blogs I follow, no one did a swatch for “Hanging in the Balance” and I can’t understand why?! It is GORGEOUS! I can’t even remember the other colours you swatch because WOW that one just stood out!

  2. These are gorgeous! I just Whirled Away from my mom and I love it, its a lot like the Indie Glitters, but I cant got the life of me get the white out, all that comes on the brush is the black flicks :(
