Jessica – It’s a Girl Thing (Spring 2013)!

Hello hello!

I received the Spring 2013 collection a few weeks ago and was still quite enjoying my holiday polishes, but I had a chance to wear them recently and have some pics and thoughts to share with you! Please click through to see!

First off, we have Amira: Smitten Kitten. A flirty pink with a subtle shimmer, it was bright and happy and perfectly girly (although perhaps like a few others in my stash):

Amira

Next up, Sophia: True Blue. This is actually the first one I wore out of the group and was worried the rest would be like this. Check out my ring finger: that is from putting Seche Vite topcoat on :( I used china Glaze Fast Forward on the rest and it looked fine. 2 coats.

Alia: Sun Kissed Beauty was my absolute fave of the bunch. A bright coral, it has already went on my toes and will be making the most appearances on my body this season. Sadly, it stained, but it is so very pretty. I am quite certain I have nothing else like it!

Alia

Nadia: Sterling Queen was the one I was most excited about, and a bit let down by. Maybe it is because of the shimmer…it was not quite as pretty on as I had hoped. What do you think?

Nadia

Last, but certainly not least is Ava: New Kid in Town. A lavender that I liked a LOT better once it was on. Very feminine!

Ava

My faves of the bunch are definitely Ava and Nadia. What about you?

All photos show 2 coats, and are all done with flash because it showed the shimmer and truer color (brights and pastels are HARD to photograph!).

Do you have any of these? If not, which will you be picking up?

Thank you so much for reading! xotara

  1. I think I love that coral the best too but I hate staining polishes :( that sucks about the blue but glad it didnt do to all, thats good. I had that problem with the Champagne JEssica color I had, I had to take it off, re-do and wait a while before putting the top coat.

    • That is so frustrating! That formula on a whole was the “worst” in terms of application (had it not been for the topcoat, the application would have still been frustrating but not enough to not wear it) but I adore it, so I am going to try to make it work!

    • You know, I did not like it at first, but it grows on me! I do love anything pink…I just get worried, especially with pinks, that any shimmer can go grandma frosty pink.
